"Anaglyph" is a fancy term for those red and blue 3D images. In order to see the 3D effect, you need to don a pair of of those red and blue (or red and cyan), glasses, the kind people used to wear to the 3D movies back in the '50s. The glasses are inexpensive, and are easy to get online or, believe it or not, in a comic book store. If you ask them for a 3D comic, you'll usually find a pair of the glasses inside. But if it's a used comic, be sure to check that the glasses are still there.
This is a panel from one of the daily comics which I felt lent itself to an experiment in making a 3D image. I think it worked out fairly well.
Here's a Sunday that I made into an anaglyph. If you look closely whilst wearing your 3D glasses, you'll really get the sense of depth in the comic. This was accomplished by combining elements from multiple layers, each with a with varying level of the 3D effect. The result is pretty good, if I do say so myself.
