Simple, easy, old-fashioned comfort food for those cold winter days in New England. Mark's Tomato Soup is perfect as a lunchtime warm-you-up, and can be modified to fit your own personal tastes. You'll be surprised at just how easy it is to make for you or your kids!
Ingredients:
1 can of Campbell's tomato soup
milk
Tools:
medium saucepan
wooden spoon
soup bowls
soup spoons
What to do:
Simply empty the can of tomato soup into your saucepan. Then fill the empty can with milk. Slowly add the milk to the soup while stirring until the mixture is evenly combined. Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally. You can't hurry it with higher heat or you'll scorch the soup, and it isn't worth the hurry; the soup heats up in under ten minutes anyway. When the soup is hot, pour into bowls and serve. If you like, you can top the soup with a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese.
Serves 1-2.
You can use either regular or 2% milk. 1% or skim milk are too thin, so avoid them for this recipe.
Recommended Sides:
Bread, saltine crackers
